We stopped in around 9:30pm on Friday. The dining room and bar still had lots of guests. We only wanted a burger and salad, nothing too fancy. Everything was good. The Caesar salad had homemade croutons and they were delicious. I NEVER eat croutons, but I ate all of these before I even took a bite of my salad. The Caesar was ok, nothing special. Ordered the tavern burger w/o cheese and no sauce, but it was served with cheese and sauce. I had to send it back, which I hate doing, but the second time around it was as I requested. It was worth the wait. The beef patty was hot and juicy. The skinny fries were crispy. Perfect dinner. The charred Grapfruit cocktail was yummy. The servers were friendly, attentive and apologetic. Thank you.
This is our all time favorite place to eat In Nashville due to thier consistency, great waitstaff and free parking! We usually go for lunch especially on Saturdays because it’s not as busy. They have fall off the bone, sweet, sticky bbq baby back ribs, grilled salmon, high quality crab cakes, french dip sandwiches, ground chuck thick cheddar topped burgers, bloody marys, Stella Artois on draft, and great key lime pie with real whipped cream. They have both a lunch and dinner menu and some entree’s are not on both menus but they have always prepared them upon request.
This was a nice first visit for me. Party of ten for an office lunch outing, they accommodated us per our reservation. Service was solid, my water glass never left empty. Plenty of servers keeping up with us without interruption of our conversations. Food was exactly what we ordered and no mistakes. All ten of us were served out meals at the same time. Quality was high. I would recommend this restaurant to altimeter looking for a good meal and experience. I plan to return.
I hadn’t seen a friend for 2 years, so we came here to catch up! I understand why this restaurant is a local favorite, the ambience reminds me as if a well respected casino was four blocks away and this was a place people would come to as an appetizer for their satisfied hunger of losing what they expected to bet with or winning and cutting themselves off early if that makes sense. Onto the review : The deviled eggs with bacon- i’m a sucker for deviled eggs, I always have been. The candied bacon they serve with it was a perfect touch, light and crispy with a subtle flavor. For the entree I had the Bistro Chicken. The presentation wasn’t expected to be honest. The mashed potatoes were good (reminded me of how my mom makes them) and the chicken was full of flavor. I hadn’t had the taste of chicken melt on my palate like this before- I tried to savor it but I couldn’t resist; I love chicken so compliments to the chef! 10/10. Next time I’m in Nashville I’ll pay a visit to try out more of the menu. Thank you!
So delicious. We went prior to Vanderbilt/Kentucky game. Go Vandy! We had some parking hiccups, and missed reservations. I called, and I was told it wasn't a problem. We were not told the reservation would cancel. That said when a manager realized what happened, and I showed i had called, the situation was remedied! The fish tacos recieved rave reviews minus the green rice. The roasted chicken with substitution of Brussels sprouts was delicious. I understand the bread pudding was fantastic! One suggestion would be a clear gluten free menu or option. I coped with it. And, clear option would be great! Overall, excellent!
I had the Chicken Milanese and my girlfriend had the Cobb salad. We each had a pineapple martini. My meal was nicely plated and the chicken was thin and lightly battered. The pasta was light, creamy and delicious. The salad was cylindrically plated with ample amounts of chicken and avocado. There was a 18 percent gratuity included as we were in a large group but price was still reasonable. We will be back!
Went there on a Friday afternoon right at noon. Didn’t make a reservation, which was my bad but the wait wasn’t too bad. I waited about 20 minutes. I took my team there to celebrate and it was a great spot to take them to since we are in the West End area. Most of us ordered the meatloaf and it was a big hit. For appetizers, we got the calamari, which was absolutely delightful. The breading was delicious and texture was on point. We also got the clam chowder, which was pretty good.
Always amazing! One of my go to spots. The deviled eggs are a must-try.. they’re perfectly seasoned and always a crowd-pleaser. I also can’t get enough of their house salad. They’ve recently added a new Oreo cake to the menu, and let me just say, it’s amazing! The cake is rich, indulgent, and the perfect way to end any meal. The staff is always friendly, and the ambiance is perfect for both a casual lunch or a night out with friends. If you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend checking it out!
